History

Alair Virtual Airlines was created at the end of 2008 as a result of the split of a group of Spanish-speaking pilots from the company "Simulated Continental Airlines".

This split of pilots occurred when "Simulated Continental Airlines" decided to abandon IVAO as a flight operations network which, until that moment, was the simulation platform used by this group.

It was evident that after this decision by the Staff of the virtual company of Continental Airlines, our group of pilots had to rethink their permanence as members of the same.

Although the representatives of the virtual company tried to provide all the facilities, through auxiliary programs such as FsACARS, KEEPER, etc., it was evident that the problems that arose within the company were more of substance than of form; at least that is how we saw it from the group itself and time proved us right.

It could be said categorically that, at that moment, our decision to leave the company had already been taken and was practically irreversible.

We had a really strong group; a strong group of people who made our flights following "as real as possible" criteria; our interventions in the company's forum were, in general, very respected and we also had the full consideration of Chad Black who, at the time, was President and "alma mater" of Simulated Continental Airlines.

The resignation of Chad Black to continue as President of the company and the subsequent death in a traffic accident of Shelly Johnson, the real driving force behind the creation and development of the company, made it possible for other members to take over the management of the company who, perhaps due to their young age, made some decisions that were as light and unfortunate as they were unfortunate.

In any case, we will always have a magnificent memory of our time with this company in the United States, where we have a record of the high regard in which we all hold its members.
